And by doing so our way you reduce your transaction risk.
We reduce your risk in five ways:

Further, our inspectors are fully licensed in the harbor, medically cleared and authorized to go into any tank farm, anytime, to verify any documents and, with a DTA in hand, to dip (available with pre-payment for full dip). They are real pros at finding out if documents are real, if there is real fuel in tanks for you at the Seller's terminal and who if the named title-holder really is the title-holder.
We've got a team of 24 inspectors across Rotterdam and Houston ready to go to work for you. Some of them have been doing this work for over 20 years, many with trusted companies like SGS and Intertek so you know you're getting real professionals when you contract your inspections with Tru-Tanks™.
Our Pre-V service verifies your documents and the physical fuel that they are supposed to document. You cannot rely upon logistics companies to verify their own product. Our independent Pre-V tells you if the documents are good and if the tanks are full or empty and tries to determine who the real title holder is. You want to pay that entity, not a broker.
We invoice you and you pre-pay. On receipt of the funds in our account you send us your documents.
Your documents have to include the GPS coordinates of the fuel stored for your transaction.

Our professionals enter the Seller's tank farm, present their credentials and proceed to the tower to meet with administrators to verify documents. If those documents fail, they inquire about alternative listings that the fuel might be under.
After successful document verification our inspectors go to the tanks and verify tank numbers and seal numbers to prove physical fuel.
You receive a written report in 24-48 hours after completion of the inspection.

Our professionals charter a service tug to travel to the vessel. They board the vessel, meet with the Captain and compare the documents you have supplied us with the documents on the vessel. If there is a discrepancy, the team work to identify the problem. If the documents verify, they then go to verify that hold seals are intact and that hold numbers match the documentation.
If you have paid for a dip test and supplied a DTA (Dip Test Authorization), the team will continue to the dip and take the sample back with them to the lab on shore. If not, they will return to do the dip when they are so authorized.

Option 1 Pre-V, separate full dip
You may Pre-V verify, then order a separate dip test, but that way you'll pay for a follow-up documentary verification as well when they do the full dip.( It's SGS and Intertek rules.) And, you take extra time. But this is the path of lowest risk.
Option 2 Pre-paid Pre-V and Pre-Paid FULL Dip, same pre-payment for immediate dip after successful Pre-V
If you have a DTA and wish us to dip immediately after we PRE-V verify the physical fuel, you could order and pre-pay the Pre-V AND dip test in advance. Upon a successful Pre-V our team will proceed to take samples immediately and take them to the lab. Processing takes 24-48 hours and you will receive your report from our account referencing your company name on it. This report will be acceptable proof of product for any further transaction with your product. If the Pre-V fails, we can return your unused dip payment.
Option 3 Full SGS Dip pre-paid.
Finally you could order an SGS full dip test and we'll execute that, as well. But remember, if you commit to a full SGS dip test, all your funds are committed and not refundable should the inspection fail at the document verification stage.
For reference, full dip tests have been running $30-40,000 for 2mm bbl of jet fuel in late 2023.
